Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Vestelle collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information through the Vestelle website, waitlist, mobile application, and related services. Some app features described below may become available as Vestelle develops.

Information you provide

We may collect information you choose to provide, including your name, email address, account details, styling preferences, clothing sizes, measurements, fit preferences, favorite brands, budget preferences, closet items, feedback, and communications with Vestelle.

When you join the waitlist, we collect the information entered in the waitlist form, such as your email address and optional first name.

Photos, camera, and photo library

Vestelle may ask for access to your camera or photo library when you choose to photograph or upload closet items, profile images, virtual try-on images, or a body-shape assessment image. Vestelle does not access these sources unless you initiate the feature and grant the applicable device permission.

For the optional body-shape photo assessment, Vestelle uses the selected image only to estimate a styling body-shape category from visible proportions. This feature is not designed to estimate exact body measurements, weight, age, health status, pregnancy, or attractiveness. You may instead use measurements or guided questions.

A body-shape assessment photo is uploaded to a private Vestelle storage location, sent to an AI service provider for processing, and configured to be deleted from Vestelle's temporary storage after the analysis request finishes. Vestelle may retain the resulting body-shape category, confidence score, and your confirmation or correction as part of your Style Intelligence profile. We do not intentionally retain the temporary assessment photo after processing unless a future feature clearly asks you to opt in to storage.

Service providers may process or temporarily retain submitted content under their own security, abuse-prevention, and legal obligations. OpenAI states that API data is not used to train its models unless the customer opts in, while default API abuse-monitoring logs may be retained for up to 30 days. Images submitted to its services are also subject to safety scanning, and an image flagged by applicable safety systems may be retained for manual review.

Automatically collected information

We may collect device and usage information such as app version, operating system, device identifiers, login activity, feature usage, diagnostic events, crash information, approximate location derived from an authorized weather or location feature, and interactions with recommendations.

How information is used

We may use information to:

AI processing

Some Vestelle features use third-party artificial intelligence providers to process prompts, preferences, closet data, or images. Vestelle limits the data sent to what is reasonably needed for the requested feature and instructs providers to return constrained results where appropriate. AI outputs may be inaccurate, and users can confirm or correct body-shape and styling results.

Information sharing

Vestelle does not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers that help us host data, authenticate users, deliver email, process AI requests, analyze performance, provide customer support, process payments, or protect the service. These providers may process information only for the services they provide to Vestelle, subject to their agreements and applicable law.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, in connection with a business transaction, or with your direction or consent.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain your account and Style Intelligence profile, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Retention periods vary by data type and feature. Temporary body-shape assessment uploads are configured for deletion after analysis, while the confirmed result may remain until you change or delete it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Your choices and rights

You may decline optional camera, photo-library, location, or AI photo features. Device permissions can be changed in your operating-system settings. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those messages.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection regarding personal information. You may submit a request by contacting hello@vestelle.app. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

Children

Vestelle is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Additional age restrictions may apply depending on location or feature.

International processing

Vestelle and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, which may have different data protection laws than your country of residence.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Vestelle develops. We will post the revised policy with a new “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when required.
